For residential applications, you can simply connect a telephone directly to one of the Broadfone Gateway ports for a fully functional VoIP service. Alternatively, you can connect the Broadfone Gateway telephone port directly to the nearest wall jack and a dial tone will be generated to the remaining jacks around your house. You can continue to use all of the telephones around your house as you always have.
For enterprise applications, Iristel’s Broadfone Gateways will connect seamlessly to your existing PBX system. The Iristel network will generate a dial tone to your PBX that will allow you to take full advantage of the cost efficiency and flexibility of Iristel’s VoIP network. This eliminates the need to allocate large budgets to upgrade your existing telephone system and PBX infrastructure, since you can continue to utilize your present infrastructure and communications functions.
To deliver crystal clear voice quality, Iristel’s Broadfone VoIP Gateway requires only 16K per line of bandwidth. Considering that most residential high speed Internet connections have speeds of 3 Mbps to 5.5 Mbps, the Broadfone VoIP service utilizes a minimal amount of existing Internet bandwidth.
Iristel’s Broadfone VoIP Gateway also has an integrated router that can be plugged into any jack in your house to acquire a dial tone and connect your computer. You can also connect several computers at the same time for simultaneous Internet sharing between several computers and phone lines throughout the house.
